Our first stop is the magnificent Cusco Cathedral, a masterpiece of colonial architecture located in the heart of the Plaza de Armas. During the guided tour, you’ll admire its grand altars, religious paintings from the Cusco School, and its fascinating blend of Catholic and Inca elements.

Next, at around 2:20 p.m., we’ll head to Qoricancha, also known as the Temple of the Sun. Once the most important temple in the Inca Empire, this site was dedicated to Inti, the Sun God. You’ll witness the incredible stonework that once dazzled the Spanish conquistadors and learn about its transformation into the Santo Domingo Convent.

By 3:30 p.m., we begin our journey to the surrounding archaeological sites. We’ll visit the mighty fortress of Sacsayhuamán, with its enormous megalithic stones, followed by the ceremonial site of Qenqo, the military post of Puca Pucara, and the sacred water temple of Tambomachay. Please note that the order of visits may be adjusted based on crowd levels at each location to ensure a more relaxed and insightful experience.

As the tour winds down, at around 6:00 p.m., we’ll visit a traditional Andean textile workshop near Sacsayhuamán. Here, local artisans will demonstrate how to identify real alpaca and baby alpaca wool, as well as share traditional dyeing and weaving techniques passed down for generations.
